Studio Calendar, Policies and fees
These simple guidelines are what keep My Music Studio running smoothly and effectively, and ensure that all students receive the equal attention they deserve.

Studio Policies
Tuition Fee

All fees and deposits paid are non-transferable and non-refundable. Tuition fees do not include the cost of music books and other materials.

Tuition is charged according to the QLD school term, and must be paid before or at the first lesson of each school term. Any increase in fees will be notified in advance.
​**The tuition fee covers much more than just a weekly lesson - it includes individualised lesson planning, time spent finding the appropriate music, ongoing professional development, research into the latest effective teaching strategies, access/subscriptions to professional resources, etc.
Piano/Trumpet Lessons 2024 - 2025 rates:
Weekly Lessons (10-week Term Fees)
30 mins: $45 ($450 per term)
45 mins: $65 ($650 per term)
60 mins: $85 ($850 per term)
Casual Lesson (for Adults only)

5-Lesson Bundle:
30 mins: $60 ($300 per bundle)
45 mins: $80 ($400 per bundle)
60 mins: $100 ($500 per bundle)
*Lessons must be used within 6 months of purchase.
Cancellations/ Make-up lessons

​All cancellations require a minimum of 24 hours of written or text message notification.

PIANO STUDENTS receive ONE make-up lesson credit per term. Please note that Make-up lessons are not guaranteed. Students are expected to commit to those scheduled lessons for the whole term. If the teacher gets any cancellations from other students, you will be offered that spot for a make-up lesson.

TRUMPET STUDENTS - No make-up lessons policy

No make-up or credit will be given for no notice given / no show, and canceling within 3 hours before the scheduled lesson time

You must use your make-up lessons by the end of the 10th week of term. Unused make-up lessons cannot be carried forward over terms.
Discontinuing Lessons

The decision to stop taking lessons should be made with careful consideration, ideally after a discussion between the teacher, student, and parent. ​

Please notify your teacher 30 days prior to discontinuing lessons so lessons can be ended in a positive manner.

Teachers at My Music Studio reserve the right to discontinue a student's lessons at any time if they have excessive unpaid lesson fees, demonstrate an ongoing lack of preparedness for lessons or show no interest in continuing to study piano or trumpet regularly exhibit severe behavioural issues that the parent is unable to control
